Hit The North Festival 2019 Hits NE1
We've got another 'Mega Music May' in store this month - kicking things off with Hit The North Festival 2019!
May seems to have become an iconic month when it comes to the music scene in Newcastle. We’re kicking off the celebrations in NE1 on Sunday 5th with Hit The North, the North East’s largest inner-city music festival! Bringing some of the best acts in the business to venues across the city, music-lovers can expect to see headline acts including: Jake Bugg, Tom Grennan, Shame, Blaenavon, Dylan Cartlidge and Catherine McGrath.
Other up and coming artists such as: Lauren Aquilina, Mini Mansions, Ten Tonnes, The Blinders, The Lake Poets and Easy Life will also be hitting NE1 stages this early Maybank holiday!
Hit The North’s opening parties will get underway on Friday 3rd May, as Soundara Karma take to the O2 Academy stage, Metronomy get the crowds going at Boiler Shop and The Futureheads show us what they’ve got at Riverside.
The focus of Hit The North is on new music; whether that’s from established bands with new releases, or from brand new artists just stepping out into the wonderful world of music. We’ve got an awesome amount of emerging talent to be proud of in our region. Hit The North Festival sheds light on those budding new musicians. Be a part of something inspiring, celebrating over 100 artists in Newcastle this May!
