MONDAY 18 FEBRUARY
GRUB WITH GUSTO
Got yourself some hungry little people? Treat them to a Monday feast this half term at vibrant Quayside spot, Gusto. Kids eat free from Monday 18 February until Friday 22 February when dining with a fully paying adult. What’s more? Little chefs can make their own pizzas!
JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND - CHASE OVER ATLANTIS
Start half term on a high at the Life Science Centre’s 4D motion ride. Kids can hitch a ride on this incredible voyage, taking Sean and his friends to an enchanting island. You’ll soar over treetops and dodge birds as you go!
TUESDAY 19 FEBRUARY
ROCK POOL ANIMALS
Make your way to the Great North Museum and meet some of our native wildlife from the seashore. Newcastle University’s Dove Marine Laboratory are bringing their touch tanks to the museum!
4-DAY ART SCHOOL FOR 11-16 YEAR-OLDS
Creative kids are invited to join the team at the Laing Art Gallery this half term for an inspiring 4-Day Art School for 11-16 year-olds. Budding artists will work with a professional arts educator to experiment with materials, paintings, illustrations and 3D works.
WEDNESDAY 20 FEBRUARY
CLOWN CAR RACER CHALLENGE
There’s a hands-on Clown Car Racer Challenge workshop going down at the Discovery Museum this half term and it’s an absolute must to keep that brain ticking over. Work with your family to create a crazy air-powered model car and test how far it can go in the Great Hall!
FAMILY DAY ACCESS HOUR
Looking for somewhere to get your culture fix this week? Don’t miss out on BALTIC’S Family Day Access Hour - a quieter and more relaxed opportunity to visit Heather Phillipson’s exhibition, The Age of Love.
