Saint Saens’ Organ Symphony: The Cathedral Church of St Nicholas


Settle in Newcastle Cathedral for an evening of spell-binding classical music. Join the New Tyneside Orchestra on Saturday 23 November for an autumn concert where they will be performing the following:

– J.S.Bach, orch. Arnold Schoenberg: Prelude and Fuge BWV 552,
– R. Vaughan Williams: Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis
– Igor Stravinsky: Symphonies of Wind Instruments
– Camille Saint-Saens: Symphony no.3,

The organ in the Saint Saens’ Organ Symphony will be played by Ian Roberts, Director of Music, Newcastle Cathedral.
