The Late Shows 2018 brings the art of the late night culture crawl to NE1 this May 18th and 19th. This weekend-long event brings together some of the city’s finest galleries, museums, studio spaces, collectives and landmark buildings.
These venues form the heart of The Late Shows' one-off, cultural events from hands-on workshops and behind-the-scenes tours, to performances, parties and educational talks. Highlights include: a light installation commissioned by Curious Arts at BALTIC Square, the Port of Tyne’s free tour of the Swing Bridge, art activities at Commercial Union House and the Comic Art exhibition at Seven Stories.
The Late Shows take place this May to coincide with the national Museums at Night festival - a UK-wide event shining a light on Britain’s sparkling culture and heritage, as well as encouraging people to visit museums and galleries at night.
The Late Shows’ culture crawl is free to attend - so pop along, pick up a programme and follow an inspiring trail around some of our city’s top venues.
