Medieval Lecture: Blackfriars Restaurant

On Saturday 21 October, Blackfriars will host, in partnership with Durham University's IMEMS (*), our 12th Public Lecture on Medieval Food.

(*) Durham University's Institute of Medieval and Early Modern Studies (IMEMS) is one of the most diverse and dynamic centres of medieval and early modern studies in the world.

Blackfriars are delighted to welcome Dr Giles Casper, Senior Lecturer in High Medieval History at Durham University to discuss: 'The Science of Food in the Middle Ages: Taste, Pleasure and the Senses'.

The cost includes a suitably medieval 3 course set lunch served communally. Early-bird academic concessions are available.
