This Event has passed

To celebrate the homecoming of Robert Stephenson’s iconic steam locomotive Rocket back in the halls of The Discovery Museum, Steve Byron has written a fantastical short play, Rocket Man, to be performed 21st July 2018 at the Alphabetti Theatre.

Young Geordie Stephenson's nan tells him the moon is made from cinder toffee. But how can he get there? He tries every way possible, finally inventing and building a steam powered machine to take him into the sky.

Follow Geordie on a fantastical story taking him to the moon and back and onto a path that changed the world forever.
