NE1 are here to help you beat the January blues and kickstart your New Year’s resolutions.

We have put together a list of gym classes in the city that will fire up your fitness routine and loosen up your jeans after all the festive feasting.

MONDAY

QUEENAX - Mix it up on your Monday lunch break and jog down to Sports Central for a truly challenging class. You’ll work up a sweat with a wide range of equipment from the multipurpose frame, which means your workout can include anything from suspension training and boxing rings to dip bars and pull ups. 12.30pm - 1pm.

TUESDAY

Muscle Gain Induction - Tick off your Tuesday training with an informative and interactive session at Pure Gym in Eldon Square. Learn the routines that will sculpt your muscles with some of the top Pure Gym trainers in NE1. From £5.99, 8pm.

WEDNESDAY

Group Cycle - Pedal your way into a perfect sweat at Eldon Leisure Centre’s Group Cycle. Move to the beat of the music and work through a series of interval cycles that will have you feeling great in no time. With only half an hour on the clock, you’ll still have time for a shower and hearty lunch! From £5.55, 1pm-1.30pm.

THURSDAY

Commando Box Class - Fight your way to fitness at this NE1 boxing gym. Boxing is a full body workout that will test out your technique as you move around the bags and finish up with some ab exercises. All levels welcome for an hour of fun fitness. First class is free, then £8 a class, 6pm - 7pm.
