NE1'S SCREEN ON THE GREEN
Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 September
Catch the last of NE1's Screen on the Green at Old Eldon Square with screenings of Goodbye Chrisopher Robin (Saturday 1 September, 12pm), Murder on the Orient Express (Saturday 1 September, 3pm), Peter Rabbit (Sunday 2 September, 12pm) and Black Panther (Sunday 2 September, 3pm). Grab a bag of popcorn, pull up a deckchair and enjoy our final four summer screens at our pop-up outdoor cinema in the city centre. What a way to entertain the whole family before it's time to go back to school!

The world premiere of Derren Litten's smash-hit ITV comedy, Benidorm, is set to bring sunshine and smiles to Newcastle’s Theatre Royal in the stage-debut production of ITV’s award-winning comedy. Celebrating over a decade of all-inclusive hilarity, the show is set to take the stage by storm with an all-new set of Alicante escapades for the much-loved cast members.

RSC LIVE: THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR

THE WAR OF THE WORLDS

Following a sell out run in January, The War of The Worlds is back - taking to Newcastle’s Northern Stage this September for a four-night run. Don’t miss out on the epic adventures as an invisible missile starts its journey to Earth from Mars. Hour by hour, day by day, closer and closer, the Martians come, ready for war and the massacre of mankind! See this nail-biting show at Northern Stage this Wednesday, until Saturday 22 September.
THE MERRY WIDOW - AUSTRALIAN BALLET 2018

This production of The Merry Widow takes cinema-goers on a trip to France, allowing them to step into the ballrooms of Paris. Set in the tiny nation of Pontevedro, the story follows Count Danilo - a dashing man on the verge of bankruptcy. To rescue his country, he marries the newly-widowed, fabulously-wealthy Hanna Glawari. But trouble brews when he discovers he rejected her when she was his childhood sweetheart. A light-hearted production filled with tangled affairs, narrow misses and jealous lovers. Not to be missed!
