Last month, we were successful in our renewal ballot, as the most supported BID in the UK with 88% of Newcastle businesses voting in our favour! What a journey it’s been! It’s an exciting time for Newcastle. The successful ballot unlocks the next chapter as we get started with our third term!
“We have a history of setting and breaking records,” says Chief Executive, Adrian Waddell.
“From being the largest BID company when we were first established in 2009, to our record-breaking renewal vote last month - we don’t do anything by halves!”
At NE1 HQ, we’re overwhelmed with the amazing support from businesses and we’re incredibly excited about what the next five years holds for the city and its people.
“NE1’s impact over the past ten years has been considerable, securing much-needed investment, transforming areas of the city in the process, and creating an annual events programme that attracts 340,000 people to Newcastle,” says Adrian.
“Our plans for the next five years are equally as bold and ambitious,” he adds.
The YES vote is a vote for making things happen in Newcastle. And that, we promise! Our task now is to return with trust, passion and confidence in the future of our city.
