Join Troy Scott, Head Gardener at Sissinghurst Castle Garden, alongside the founding members of the Embroidered Minds Collaboration, to discuss the origins, development and future plans of these renowned green spaces!

A playful and thought-provoking performance comes to Dance City this Saturday. In About The Elephant, two talented individuals come together to reflect the search for clarity within our existence. The pair beautifully intertwine their dancing styles to examine our sense of place and purpose in this world.



Rat race

Time for a bit of improv comedy - with some gameshow antics thrown in for good measure! The Suggestibles will play host to a very silly show where two teams of improvisers scramble to win the crowd’s laughter! Expect games, sketches and songs as this totally random night unfolds! 



Scottish sounds



Experience sensational sounds this Saturday at Sage One, in the hands of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. A truly inspiring evening of live music, plus a pre-concert talk for those who wish to find out more about how the orchestra was formed.

Settle in and fuel up at Tyneside Bar Café. Their new brunch menu is packed with mouthwatering dishes to set you up for the day, including avocado on toast, salt beef Eggs Benedict and Mexican-style brekkie burritos!



Rusty the Robot



Round up the kids for a Sunday fun-day at Seven Stories. Pop along and put your creative minds to work with Neil Clark, author and illustrator of Rusty the Squeaky Robot. Children aged 3-7 are invited to build, create and draw their very own robots inspired by Rusty!

Fancy a fun-filled virtual reality experience? Change up your Sunday plans and head for the Great North Museum where you’ll be taken on a thrilling VR trip underground, taking you to a fantastic subterranean world! Time to channel your inner cave dweller...

It’s been a busy weekend exploring our fantastic city. Now it’s time to rest and refuel. And what better way to do so than with a slice of scrummy pizza? Gather the gang and get down to Dean Street’s Pizza Express for a plate of doughy deliciousness!

Pop-rock four piece, Single By Sunday are swinging by Riverside to bring their infectious energy to a North East stage! Inspired by the likes of Blink 182, The 1975, Green Day and Paramore, their catchy show is a must-see for music-lovers this weekend.

The Real Thing take to a Toon stage this weekend and we wouldn’t want you to miss it! Vocalists Chris Amoo and Dave Smith, along with their fantastic five-piece band, are set to deliver a funky show with retro flavour for good measure. Time to tap your feet to the disco beats...

Get down to The Cluny this Sunday for a mega music double bill in the hands of Mother’s Cake and Dirty Sound Magnet. Mother’s Cake bring their Aussie rock sounds to the stage, while Dirty Sound Magnet showcase their psychedelic rock charm.
