Meet at St Thomas’ Church for an educational walk based on stories of Newcastle in times of conflict, not just in the Great War, but throughout centuries of hardship. Held on Remembrance Sunday, this guided tour will remember the fallen and those who survived.



Superhero screening



Take time out and journey to Gotham City for a screening of Tim Burton’s first Batman film. This mega movie will be played out to an NE1 audience in the iconic location of Newcastle Castle. Don’t miss it!



Songs & stories

Settle in at Sage Two this Sunday for Songs and Stories of the Great War. A heartwarming tribute to those involved in fighting, and those left at home during World War 1. An honourable evening of words, vocals and instruments from the Fenham Ensemble and special guests.

Join Seymour Mace at The Stand Comedy Club this Sunday as he ‘Makes It Up As He Goes Along’. This spontaneous stand-up show can turn into anything from silly scripts to belly-laughing banter, audience interaction and everything in between.

Boiler Shop brings a weekend of music and performance to mark the 100 year anniversary of Armistice. This Sunday, Shirley Collins will be taking to the stage after a 38 year hiatus. Welcome back, Shirley!
