Geordie Jackpot: Check Out The Exciting Potential Projects

Last updated:

The NE1 Geordie Jackpot is all about putting Newcastle on the map, the innovative ideas and potential projects have us super excited about the future of the city. Inspired by some of the best cities in the world NE1 have come up with projects that would jazz up Newcastle and make it an even more charming place to live.

The NEWCASTLE Sign

Many of the best cities in the world have their names spelt out in spectacularly huge letters. Maybe the Geordie Jackpot could fund a fabulous Newcastle sign for you to take selfies with or show off to visiting friends. Big and bold, the sign would be the first thing people would see as they wander out of Central Station.

In Amsterdam tourists line up to take pictures in or by their city sign, it is a must visit stop for people visiting the tourist hotspot. You could help to make history with your Geordie Jackpot ticket and add a new pit stop picture op for passing guests to the town.

The Vibrant Monument Playground

OR! Our Geordie Jackpot could fund something totally different and unique to Newcastle.

The money raised could transform Monument into a giant playground for little ones to enjoy. Anyone who has ever visited a playground can tell you how much fun they bring to children of all ages. Let little ones get lost in the magic and take a good fun break from shopping. The project will encourage them to be active and creative with lots of fabulous fun and games to play. This vibrant and exciting project will cut through the concrete and bring colour and adventure to our city for all the family.

The Walk-in Fountain

Did you know that walk-in fountains in cities are known to calm and relax you?

The dancing water breaks up the concrete and injects a bit of nature into a city taking you away from the stresses of the hustle and bustle life.

Not only do they relax you, they look really cool in cities all over the world and we bet it would be a fantastic edition next to Newcastle's Monument.

Whether it's watching someone else get soaked or cooling off yourself the fountain would be fun for all. You could stop off at lunchtime, park yourself on a bench and watch the water display dance in the air.

You can even bribe your little ones to wander around the high street with the promise of splashing in the spray-ground at the end of the day. Whatever you use it for the walk-in fountain would be a little escape from the stresses of city life, a soothing break of nature through the concrete that brightens up your day.

So which is your favourite? Or are we missing a trick?
