Everything You Need To Know About Loosefest '22

Last updated:

Loosefest ‘22 is just a couple of weeks away so we thought we’d help you get prepared by giving you all the details you’ll need to make the weekend an absolute blast!

What Is Loosefest ‘22?

Loosefest ’22 is being billed as Newcastle’s largest ever festival and has a ridiculously action-packed line-up to prove it. Across two days, the festival is bringing a BIG party – from the house and disco-themed Saturday to Sunday’s focus on bass and beats, be it hip hop or drum & bass. There are more than 80 acts in total, appearing across five stages (four covered, one outdoor), so you’re going to be spoilt for choice whatever your raving flavour. All this plus a carnival funfair – with a ferris wheel – and plenty of bars and street food.

Where is it?

Loosefest ‘22 takes place on the Town Moor, just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre and with good transport links. There are also special Loosefest ‘22 coaches running from all over the north-east (check the website for the full list).

What are the dates and when does it start?

Loosefest ‘22 takes place on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st of July. Gates open at midday – which is also when the music starts. Please note there’ll be no admission after 5pm and there’s absolutely no re-admission once you’re on-site.

Who’s appearing?

Loosefest ‘22 really has pulled out all the stops bringing together some of the biggest names in their respective genres so whether you’re planning on stage-hopping or setting up in front of your favourite for the day, you’ll go home happy. Saturday brings the cream of house, disco and dance pop so it’s big, big names like Black Eyed Peas, Alisha, Clean Bandit, Dmitri From Paris, Spiller, Joel Corry and Roger Sanchez. Sunday brings the bass and the boom-bap, from acts like DJ Fresh, Hybrid Minds, Tinchy Stryder, Mabel and Kings Of The Rollers.

How old do I need to be to attend?

Loosefest ‘22 is strictly for 18s and over (there will be ID checks on entry and at the bars) so please don’t bring the kids.

Tickets

Tickets are still available online but selling fast. There are various options but prices start as follows:

  • Weekend tickets: £137.50 plus fees
  • Saturday tickets: £77 plus fees
  • Sunday tickets: £66 plus fees

Check out the VIP packages and group deals too!

If the event sells out, there won’t be any on the gates on the day so we’d recommend getting yours in advance to avoid being turned away.

Can I use cash?

All the bars at Loosefest ‘22 will be cashless (so cards and Apple / Googlepay only). Some food and funfair vendors may accept cash.

What if I want to keep on partying?

Loosefest ’22 has you covered. There’ll be after-parties on both nights, at popular city centre venues like Riverside, The Lofts, Bohemia and Tup Tup Palace. Tickets start from £11 and details can be found on the website (check the Add Ons tab on the ticket page).

We can't wait for this one! A big summer knees-up on the Town Moor, with a line-up for the ages, and a truly special weekend in store. Hold onto your hats Newcastle, Loosefest is going to be mega!
