The fabulous fireworks are back at the Quayside with a bang this year! Get ready to welcome in the New Year and start of 2018 by watching the display as it lights up the sky.
We have teamed up with the NewcastleGateshead Initiative to bring a display that certainly has the wow-factor. Welcome in 2018 at the stroke of midnight in the city, as fireworks light up the Tyne against the iconic backdrop of the seven bridges. Thanks to the dedicated support of local quayside businesses our event is free for all to enjoy. So get down nice and early to make the most of the most mesmerising evening on the Quayside.
Whether you are going to grab a cocktail in Pitcher and Piano, a pint in the Akenside, a delicious dinner in SIX at the Baltic or a steamy cup of hot chocolate from the Sage Cafe, there is plenty to do before the fireworks fly into the sky. Grab some food, some drinks and a good spot to see in the New Year in style. The magic begins at midnight.
