10 Nightlife Venues In Newcastle We Can’t Wait To Visit
We’ve certainly missed the busy nightlife NE1 has to offer and while some doors may have to remain closed longer than others, we’ve rounded up 10 nightlife venues we can’t wait to visit again in the not-too-distant future...
Digital
The live music venue and club we all know and love. Located in Times Square, this go-to nightlife venue is a firm favourite among us Geordies. From gigs to club nights - there’s something for everyone. We can’t wait to be reunited.
Tup Tup Palace
One of Newcastle's best-loved nightclubs, Tup Tup Palace is an icon in itself. We can hardly wait for the days we are queuing along St Nicholas' Street, ready to drink and dance the night away inside. We've got our fingers crossed that, in the near future, this venue is back up and running with its lively list of clubnights, with something for everyone.
Livello
Chic, contemporary and elegant, Livello is a cocktail-lovers dream. This oh-so stylish venue is one of Newcastle’s most beloved late-night spots and for good reason. Think expertly crafted cocktails, an impressive wine list and a sophisticated twist on all of your favourite classics. We can’t wait to visit this Quayside favourite once again.
World HQ
We're waiting in the wings for the reopening of World HQ, and we know it's going to be one of the biggest blow-outs in town, when the time is right! The city centre club has been around for almost 30 years and it certainly hasn't lost its charm. Friendly, inclusive and a big deal when it comes to welcoming some of the hottest DJing talent to the city, we can't wait to be back!
Cosmic Ballroom
Cosmic Ballroom is the hidden gem we all need in our social lives! Go here for some of the finest electronic beats in the Toon, featuring some of the world's most talented DJs and producers. It won't be long until we're back bopping along at this venue. Watch this space!
Flares
There's simply no better place to get your groove on! Take your living room dance moves to the big, bright dancefloor of Flares this summer. We're keeping our fingers crossed that we can be back strutting our stuff to the finest throwback hits in no time!

The Dog & Parrot
Indie tunes, Rock ‘n’ Roll vibes, mint décor and even better booze, The Dog & Parrot is a Toon favourite. When time allows, grab your pals and go here for a night of pool, red stripe and two floors of music anthems. The independent bar, just a stone’s throw away from Newcastle’s Central Station, is set to open their doors on May 17 and we’re here for it.
TheCUT
The place to be when it comes to Newcastle's alternative nightlife scene! When given the green light, we're certain this inner city club space will, one again, be jam-packed with an unmissable line-up of live events and club nights!
Popworld
Those partial to a cheesy bop or two, should have their eyes firmly set on a night out at Popworld, when the time is right. Playing everything from 90s pop to the ultimate party hits, you'll be working up a sweat on the dancefloor before you know it - and with tons of brilliant drinks deals to be had, it makes for the ultimate return to the Toon!
