NE1′s inaugral Newcastle Motor Show took place July 11th & July 12th 2015 and was an incredible success with 100,000 visitors attending the event. Grey Street was closed to traffic during the two-day event to allow the public to marvel at the spectacle of an open-air car show with over 100 classic and modern motor cars on display.

NE1 Newcastle Motor Show 2015 was sponsored by Benfield Motors and North East Audi.

Our 2016 NE1 Newcastle Motor Show was even bigger and better than the 2015 show, expanding into more areas and supported by more Dealer Displays and entertainment. Highlights were too many to mention but the below photos give an idea of the range of cars, displays and activities throughout the weekend.

Aston Martin Newcastle

Aston Martin returned to the NE1 Newcastle Motor Show for 2016, and managed to have an even more impressive display than their 2015 edition! A Vantage GT8 and prototype DB11 thrilled the crowds alongisde a DB9 and Vantage in a spot on Grey Street worthy of their beauty!

Bentley Newcastle

Bentley really pulled out all of the stops this year, bringing their own display which included its own picket fences! Alongisde this were their beautiful vehicles, including the brand new Bentayga, a real crowd pleaser!

Porsche Newcastle

In the shadow of the Grey's Monument sat Porsche's area, a bright and beautiful range of special vehicles, including the 911 GT3 RS, which turned heads all weekend long!

Lloyd BMW

Headlined by the beautiful, and technologically amazing, i8, BMW's display was thronged with people throughout the weekend and with good reason, these beautifully engineered machines looked right at home at the Motor Show!

Stratstone Jaguar

 

One the UK's most beloved marques took their rightful place at the NE1 Newcastle Motor Show in 2016, and showcased the beautiful F-Type, as well as other models in their space adjacent to Grey's Monument. 

Infiniti Centre Newcastle

 

Returning to the show in 2016, Infiniti Centre were positioned at Grey's Monument, the perfect location for their showstopping vehicle, a RenaultSport Formula 1 car, a real winner with the attendees!

Tesla Motors

 

A new addition to the 2016 show, Tesla Motors travelled from Leeds to display with us and were tremendously popular. Their two cars were pored over by the crowds with many sorely tempted to upgrade their current vehicle! 

Mill Volvo

 

Occupying a prestigious spot outside Newcastle's famous Theatre Royal, Mill Volvo were able to present the Volvo P1800, renowned as the car from television's 'The Saint', as well as some fantastic showroom models.
